Bausch Foundation
A Foundation to Build From
The Bausch Foundation seeks to create human-centered change across the globe by providing access to safe, effective medicines and supporting health care education and causes.
The Broader Perspective initiative, launched in 2026, guides our sustainability progress and helps us understand each stakeholder’s needs, from patients to providers, retailers to regulators.
With partnerships and transparent collaboration across our industry, it is our ongoing goal to turn that perspective into sustainable innovations that drive human-centered change for generations to come. We see further and act together so people can see better to live better.

As we continue working toward our corporate sustainability strategy, we want to highlight our progress on waste reduction, emissions reductions, solar energy generation and more. Read our annual Sustainability Impact Report to see The Broader Perspective in action.
As the first and only eye care, lens care and contact recycling program in U.S., our ONE by ONE program has collected more than 690,000 pounds (approximately 114 million units) of used eye health products through November 2025.
At the core of The Broader Perspective is our big picture sustainability goal – Net Zero by 2050. To support this, we set an annual 10% reduction target for Fuel, Energy, Water and Waste (FEWW) at every manufacturing site, helping drive steady and sustained progress.

For nearly two centuries, our company has been defined by our ability to constantly evolve to the needs on the horizon. With The Broader Perspective, we are establishing a baseline of impacts through a contact lens life cycle assessment (LCA) to help us prioritize our sustainable innovations. We are also focusing on reducing our impacts today like replacing printed instructions for use (IFUs) with electronic IFUs (e-IFUs). By looking for ways to develop more sustainably-minded products and improve the impacts of our current products, we are creating sustainable progress for the next generation.
We’re addressing waste reduction from multiple perspectives. By streamlining packaging content and developing a global packaging database, we’re supporting Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) reporting and identifying new opportunities to prevent waste in the first place. Our ONE by ONE recycling program keeps used contact lenses and packaging out of the landfill.

Seeing better to live better means breaking down barriers to affordability and access to necessary care. Our Patient Assistance Program offers assistance to those undergoing financial and/or insurance hardships, providing these products at no cost to you for up to one year, with an option to renew annually.
