Emerald is a four zone, reverse geometry alternative, using the Bausch + Lomb Vision Shaping Treatment VST process, that employs an empirical fitting philosophy. Diagnostic fitting is not necessary with this method where accurate keratometric and spectacle refraction measurements are all that is necessary for initial lens selection. Centration is the key element in vision shaping treatment and these four zones interact to make the lens center perfectly while applying minimum amount of pressure on the cornea.
